About the role:

As a Junior Controller and Accountant, you will play a vital role in our reporting processes. With accuracy and analytical skills being crucial to our success, you will significantly contribute to our growth. This position combines both Accounting and Business Controlling responsibilities.

In Accounting, your tasks will primarily focus on managing Global Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and handling payments. In Business Controlling, you will help enhance our BI system, ensure the accuracy of reports, and provide valuable analytics, all while collaborating with our Group Finance Manager. The role is diverse, ranging from daily accounting tasks to assisting with VAT and tax filings.

It's a great plus if you're able to handle the bookkeeping for our Polish entity as well. Familiarity with the Polish Accounting system is then a plus, but at Sproud, we believe in teamwork and support each other on the tasks that matter most at any given time.

You will be part of our small but efficient Finance team, reporting to the Group Finance Manager in Sweden. If you're based in Warsaw, you'll work closely with two colleagues, forming the core team of our East cluster. If you're in Malmö, you'll be part of our global HQ, working alongside many colleagues from across the organization.

Key aspects of the role:

Accounting:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in VAT and tax filings.

Business Control:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgeting forecasts.
• Help monitor financial performance and identify discrepancies or areas of improvement.
• Support variance analysis and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

General Support:

• Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
• Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects.

To be successful in the role we believe that you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role (experience in business controlling is a plus).
• An understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Keen on developing an ability to analyze financial data and generate meaningful insights.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• It is very positive if you have some knowledge of local Polish tax laws and regulations.
